Carolina Rig & Senko Rods |
Our two Carolina rig rods are designed to
make throwing those long leaders and heavy weight much EASIER. Both are long
rods(7'3") with longer rear grips for total, two-handed casting control. The
added length also increases casting distance so you can cover more water, as
well as long arcing rod sweep for POSITIVE hooksetting power. One is rated
for 14-20 pound line and up to 3/4-once weight. The other; rated for 17-25
pound line and up to the 1 1/2-ounce weights.

Senko® anglers seeking more casting
ACCURACY and control will appreciate our two new specialty soft-jerkbait
rods. One is 7'5", rated for 12-16 pound line and smaller baits, the other;
7'2" and rated for 14-20 pound line and larger baits. Both increase casting
DISTANCE and positive hook-ups due to the longer rod arc and extra length.

Classic Mag Bass Rods (MBR) |
When it comes to
PERFORMANCE and all-around fishability, the Mag Bass rods are our pride
and joy. These rods, originally designed for pitching jigs and worms for
largemouth bass have been discovered by walleye anglers, smallmouth
enthusiasts, pike chasers and even light-duty saltwater folks. Pitching is
an underhand casting method that allows you to put a bait around visible
cover with a nearly splashless entry. When the fish are spooky and a big
splash sends them scurrying off and you just can't get close enough to flip,
this is the best approach, but these Mag Bass rods are far more VERSATILE
than just this one dimension. They're fast-action rods with a powerful,
magnum butt section that gives you increased casting range, more effective
hook sets (especially in deep water) and superior fish-fighting control.
Fuji reel seats, with our "mag touch" exposed blank near the trigger gives
you superior sensitivity as well as better casting control. You'll find
yourself using these rods for EVERYTHING... jigs, plastic worms, soft
jerk baits, and whacky worms. They are available in a wide range of lengths
and powers, plus the more popular models come in all four graphite
performance levels.

Crankbait Series Rods (CBR) |
For over two decades,
while the vast majority of the world's hardcore anglers have been
enthusiastically snatching up graphite rods for their performance, one group
has staunchly resisted - CRANKBAIT FISHERMEN. They claim graphite's
too stiff. Too responsive. Won't let the fish inhale the lure. Well, here is
our official answer: They're right. Fiberglass may be heavy, it may feel
dead, it may have the reaction capabilities of vermicelli-but its softer,
slower action has often made it a better choice for fishing crankbaits. Our
Crankbait Series rods incorporate all the elements of the best fiberglass
crankbait rods, but with all the added benefits of graphite. These rods have
a soft, slow action that allows your lure to work perfectly, and allows the
fish to inhale the bait, but unlike fiberglass rods, they're incredibly
light, super RESPONSIVE and extremely sensitive. Their reduced weight
makes them far less tiring to cast. They're sensitive enough that you can
feel a bass suck in a suspended jerkbait and they recover quickly so you
won't have to worry about keeping your line tight when a fish jumps. In
other words, you gain all the advantages of graphite with the action and
flexibility of glass. Each rod in the series is crafted in a gorgeous
metallic copper finish. These are truly STATE-OF-THE-ART crankbait
rods.

Spinnerbait Series Rods (SBR) |
Like lots of successful
techniques in bass fishing, the keys are repetition and consistency, along
with repetition and consistency. Any one of a thousand casts could be the
fish of a lifetime, so consistently placing your bait in the zone is
extremely important. These rods are ACCURATE, tough and sneaky
powerful, yet so light even the softest strike feels like an explosion.
There are seven rods designed specifically to fish blades like they're meant
to be fished, with power-ratings varying from light to heavy and lengths
from 5'6" all the way up to 7'2". Extra-fast tips give you the ability to
snap casts in and around all types of cover, with an extremely POWERFUL
butt section to keep even the biggest bass away from trouble. Add to that a
quick, responsive action and sensitivity that helps you feel every rock,
blade of grass, or limb you're likely to encounter. Fuji Alconite guides and
"blank through" Fuji ESC reel seat, (except the SBR864C, which has a
standard trigger reel seat), combined with rear grip lengths to make them
both comfortable and efficient. Finished in a deep red with dark contrasting
wraps. Imagine... a rod so PERFECT for spinnerbaits that you won't
want to put it down. We just hope you won't forget how to fish the other
lures in your tackle box.

Drop Shot Rods (DSR) |
As UNIQUE in action
and performance as this alternative technique is to bass fishing, our
Drop-Shot rods are a balance of SUBTLETIES and power. You'll
appreciate the soft tips for twitching baits, and when you "lift" the rod,
the power behind those noticeably lighter tips will surprise you. You don't
set the hook with this technique... you just crank a little faster and lift
the rod slowly - if you can! There are two different models available. The
lighter DSR820's are designed for water up to about 25 feet deep. The more
powerful DSR822's are designed for slightly heavier line, heavier cover and
deeper water to 50 feet. Lightweight, durable Fuji Alconite guides are
stacked forward to protect the line during EXTREME rod flex. The
casting rods feature a Fuji "blank-thru-handle" triggered reel seat and
premium cork. The spin versions have our own custom reel seat, allowing you
to mount the reel in a FORWARD position so you can touch the blank
above the cork for additional sensitivity.

ShakyHead Rods (SHR) |
Shallow, deep, around
docks, and even when fish are on the beds, the ShakyHead may not be the
go-to tactic under normal conditions, but it's highly effective when the
going gets tough. When the fish are hugging the bottom in tight cover the
ShakyHead will get in their faces like no other technique.

Smallmouth BronzeBack Series (SMR) |
No longer will these light biters have a
place to hide. Great for detecting cover, even when there isn't any,
or very little. The GLX material in this rod allows you to feel every
little blade of grass they're likely to seek cover behind. The extreme
light weight will give you the ability to fish with a light touch all day.

Flipping Sticks (BCFR, FSR) |
If "FLIPPING" is one of your
favorite techniques, we think our new GLX flipping rods can be described
with one word - astonishing! First of all, they're all one-piece and very
powerful, yet so light you'll WONDER how we did it. We make two
options in our 15-25 pound line flipping sticks. One is extra long (7'11")
for special cover and structure situations; one is 7'5" and the WORKHORSE
of the new line. In addition, there is a new, lighter flipping rod with a
fast taper for those wishing to pitch jigs and worms, and still have the
ability flip when they want to.
BCFR863
:
BCFR894
Flipping is a technical
form of heavy-duty finesse fishing. Yes, "FINESSE" and "HEAVY-DUTY"
together may sound like an oxymoron, but most anglers choose to flip because
the fish are in heavy cover where conventional casting just isn't an option.
The length of a Flipping Stick allows the angler to "swing" lures around
into heavy cover so that they enter the water softly. And because they allow
a vertical presentation, your lure drops straight to the bottom-unlike a
lure that's cast and falls toward the angler, missing those important
perimeter zones. Often times, the real test isn't hooking fish, it's getting
those fish out of the space you just flipped your lure into. You need a rod
that can move fish quickly. Built with a FAST TAPER, these rods will
do just that. The butt section collapses into the handle for easy storage.

Classic Bass Spinning Jig Rods (SJR) |
A real bass fisherman never, but never,
admitted using a spinning rod, unless it was for panfish, and even then it
was iffy. But times are CHANGING and so are techniques. First out of
the closet were the die-hard smallmouth anglers. They favored the spinning
rod because they used lighter line and smaller lures to fool those super
cautious brown bass. Then, as finesse fishing came into play, more and more
anglers found the spinning rod to be the PERFECT SOLUTION for the
clear water lakes where spotted bass and smallmouths abound. The only
negative was nobody ever really offered the nice, fast-action rods that the
casting crowd enjoyed. That was until we introduced the Spin Jig Series.
It's the unique blend of DYNAMIC tapers and super-sensitive materials
that helped make these the rod of choice for serious light line anglers.
Grubs, small worms, hair jigs, split shot rigs, "mojo" rigs... you name it,
the spin jig rod is a great option.
